Services
The City of Rensselaer Building Commissioner is responsible for enforcing and interpreting compliance of applicable building codes, zoning regulations, ordinances and provide permitting and/or inspections within city-limits and its two-mile buffer zone. The Building Commissioner oversees the city's Minimum Housing and Unsafe Building Standards.
The Building Commissioner is actively involved with the Redevelopment Commission, Advisory Planning Commission and the Board of Zoning Appeals.
