The Rensselaer Parks Department maintains ten beautiful parks throughout our community. Our parks are open to the public until 11:00 pm CST and we encourage everyone to utilize the many amenities they have to offer.
Rensselaer Parks:
- Three (3) lighted Baseball Diamonds
- Lighted Tennis Courts
- La Rue Memorial Pool - typically opening at the beginning of summer break and closing when school starts
- Four (4) pavilion picnic areas with water and electricity availability
- Three (3) playground structures
- Summer Youth Baseball and Girls' Softball Programs
- Summer Swim Team
- Two (2) Canoe Landings
- One (1) Boat Launch
- Six (6) Horseshoe Pits (Located behind Iroquois Headquarters)
- 1/4-mile Track (Located at Brookside Park)
- Football Field
- Frisbee Golf (Located at Brookside Park)
Park Board Meetings are held in the conference room at City Hall, on the first Monday of each month at 6:00 pm CST. The public is welcomed and encouraged to attend these meetings.
